Life Stream Australia facilitates the development of skills and independence of people with disabilities, particularly intellectual disabilities, in schools, community based environments and participation in sport, recreation, leisure and vocational activities. Support may be community based to in-home or overnight support where the focus is skill development in daily living activities to enable the individual to live as independently as possible. Life Stream Australia is also the peak sport body for Queensland athletes with an intellectual impairment. Life Stream Australia has been based in Brisbane since 1984, Rockhampton since 2006 and Canberra since 2013.
