About Illawarra Sleep Psychology - Thirroul
Amanda MacKay is a registered psychologist with twenty years of clinical experience, the last fifteen dedicated to behavioural sleep medicine. She works with children, adolescents and adults to help them fall asleep more easily, sleep more soundly through the night and wake feeling rested and restored. Drawing on evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), she focuses on the underlying causes of disrupted sleep rather than simply managing its symptoms. Amanda understands how much poor sleep can affect everyday life — mood, concentration, health and overall wellbeing — and tailors her care to each person's circumstances and goals. Her aim is to help clients build healthy, lasting sleep habits so they can feel more settled, more energised and more like themselves. Consultations are available in person at her practice in Thirroul, in the Illawarra and Australia-wide via telehealth.
